In an effort to go green, the LACDA is conducting more communication, notifications, and transactions online. The new Rent Café Portal is now available for Section 8 tenants and owners, and Public Housing residents. Please see below for what benefits this new portal offers you. The previous Tenant and Owner Portals are no longer available.

Section 8 Property Owners


The new Rent Café Portal provides direct access to information such as Housing Assistance Payments and Inspections.

If you had an existing Portal account, you will have to RE-REGISTER for the Rent Café Portal. If you did not have an existing Portal account, you can now register for the Rent Café Portal! Please ensure that you provide your Tenant ID on all correspondence submitted to the LACDA.

Section 8 Tenants


The new Rent Café Portal provides direct access to Annual Re-examination information and the ability to upload documents and submit changes in income and family composition.

If you had an existing Portal account, you will have to RE-REGISTER for the Rent Café Portal. If you did not have an existing Portal account, you can now register for the Rent Café Portal! Please ensure that you provide your Tenant ID on all correspondence submitted to the LACDA.

Public Housing Residents


The Rent Café Portal for Public Housing and Multifamily Housing residents is now available. If you have not registered, you are highly encouraged to do so.

The Rent Café Portal provides direct access to your account information such as: Historical Inspection and Work Order records, Tenant Ledger, Tenant Forms, pay rent online, submit maintenance service requests, and access your caseworker contact information. Additionally, you may complete your annual certifications online and report any changes between scheduled certifications, such as: changes in income, family composition, expenses, and so much more!
