One of the key resources for financing affordable housing is the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and administered by the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) on behalf of Los Angeles County.
What Is the Current Status of the HOME Program?
The County's current annual allocation is approximately $9.6 million in HOME funds. HOME funds continue to support the Home Ownership Program (secondary mortgage financing for first-time homebuyers) and proposed new developments.
HOME funds, when available, are allocated through the annual Notice of Funding Availability, under the Multifamily Housing Program.
